Elizabeth Ganji
A self taught painter raised in Pleasanton, CA, Ganji is a fourth-generation artist from a family where artistic roots run deep. Her mother, mother’s three sisters, a few cousins, grandmother and great-grandmother are (and were) all accomplished painters.
Liz grew up with horses and it is that subject matter she finds most inspiring to paint. To gaze on one of her originals is to experience serenity, honesty, cadence and the raw energy the horse projects. To her the image of the horse itself is indicative of the techniques used in her painting: boldness in the form of color and energy, looseness to encourage freedom of movement and the suggestion of an untold story which allows the viewer to subjectively discover in the painting its own individual meaning.
Her experimentation with color and technique goes far beyond her majestic horses. She approaches her animal and landscape subjects with delight and playfulness, giving charm and charisma to bear and bison alike. Ganji originals are a wonderful addition to any home, providing constant opportunity for joy and happiness with each glance.
